Setting Up Payroll Clock Rules

Be sure to review our Getting Started with Payroll topic before you proceed with setting up clock rules in Meevo.

To get here, type payrollsettings into the Convobar, or go to Meevo > Business Settings > Payroll Settings. Then select the Clock In/Out Rules tab.

Note: Full Access Users are never restricted from logging in or clocking in at any time.

  1. Restrict early clock in: When enabled, employees who are scheduled for a Work Activity will be unable to clock in for that Work Activity any earlier than what is configured in the Employee can clock in... option below. If Restrict early clock in is not enabled, there are no restrictions on when an employee can clock in. Be sure to see Options That Affect Clock-Ins for a full breakdown of how Work Activity options and Payroll Settings interact.
  • Employee can clock in ___ minutes prior to scheduled time: The employee can clock in for a scheduled Work Activity as long as it is within the time frame configured here. If set to 0, the employee will be unable to clock in until, or after, the scheduled start time. This option overrides the default 15-minute time frame that is part of the Work Activity's Must Clock In option.
  • Allow Meevo Access / Restrict Meevo Access: Determines if an employee can access other areas of Meevo (aside from the Time Clock) if they log in prior to their scheduled start time. This option overrides the access normally granted by the Work Activity's Must Clock In option. See Options That Affect Clock-Ins for a full breakdown of how all clock-in options work together.
  1. Automatically clock out employees who have clocked in but not clocked out for their scheduled time: When this option is enabled, Meevo will automatically clock out employees who haven't already done so; Meevo does this during a service that runs every night at midnight, local time.
  • The employee is automatically clocked out using the end time of their scheduled Work Activity.
  • If the employee is not scheduled for a Work Activity, then they are clocked out at the end of business hours for that day.
  • If the employee is not scheduled for a Work Activity and there are no scheduled business hours, they are clocked out at 12 am.
