Creating a Segment/Audience

All of your imported Meevo contacts are considered your "audience," and you can organize your audience through creating Groups or Segments. We recommend utilizing Segments, as they allow you to narrow down your audience for better engagement. Segments are dynamic, so as your client database grows and changes, Segments will automatically update as well.

Note: Once the Email Marketing integration is turned on from within Meevo, three segments are automatically created in Email Marketing: New Client & No Future Appointment & No Transient, No Future Appointment & No Transient, and Retained Client & No Transient.

To create a new segment:

  1. Select Audience. The screen opens to your Contacts list by default.

  2. Select Segments from the Manage menu on the left, and then select Create a segment.

  3. On the Segments screen, use the tools to build a segment:

  4. Enter the Segment Name.
  5. Choose the Segment Type.
  • Select an Audience Group to build a Segment from an already created Group.
  • Select a Field to build a Segment from fields available in your account.
  • Select a Response to build a Segment from email responses from a previous campaign.
  • Select Signup Activity to build a Segment from your audience’s subscription activities.
  1. Select the Conditions and Options to build a Segment. The number of contacts that meet this criteria will populate on the upper-right corner.
  2. Select Save when finished.
