Annotating a Visit Note

Annotated visit notes are valuable within any industry where detailed records and visual documentation are essential, such as:

• The healthcare and medspa industry: Annotated visit notes can be used to document patient treatments, before-and-after results, and procedure plans.
• Salon and spas: Annotated visit notes are helpful when a salon or spa wants to record client preferences or document progress with certain services like coloring or skin treatments.

Annotated Visit Notes in Meevo

• To allow for annotated images in a visit note, enable the Add Annotation / Mark Up option on a Visit Note Type definition. See Visit Note Types for details on this option and setting up annotated visit notes.
• The image used for annotations is often something simple, like an outline of the human body or line art of a face. This allows annotations (especially colors) to stand out.
• Annotated Visit Notes are available anywhere Visit Notes can be entered or viewed, and they can be viewed across locations if the Show Visit Notes across locations option is enabled in Business Preferences.

Annotating using the customization toolbar 

Use the toolbar to easily customize and refine your annotations:

• The Pencil tool allows you to free-draw and make adjustments to pencil thickness and color. 
• The Pin tool allows you to drop a pin that can display Units and Comments when selected. 
  
• Expand the image to full screen for an even more focused and uncluttered view.
  
• You can zoom in and out of the image if needed, allowing for more precise marks and notes.
  

 

Viewing Pin Notes

Select the Show Pin Notes icon in the lower-left corner of the image to view all pin Units and Comments at once. 

Adjusting annotations

• You can Erase pencil marks and adjust the eraser size for greater precision.
  
• Each pin and pencil annotation is treated as an individual mark, so you can adjust their location on an image without needing to delete and redraw. Use the Select tool to select an individual pin, or click and drag to capture everything within the selection area (including partial sections of a pencil mark). 
  
  
  
• Select Move to adjust the positioning of a preexisting pin. 

 

Deleting a pin

To delete a pin, select the trash can icon below the pin note. 

Tip: To quickly delete multiple pins, select the Pin tool from the toolbar and then select the Show Pin Notes icon. This reveals Pin Notes for all pins, allowing you to easily delete them individually as needed.

 

Changing, copying, or deleting the image

For Visit Notes that allow an image to be uploaded when the visit note is being entered, controls above the image allow you to Upload, Delete, or Crop the image at any time.
