Obtaining Your Emma Email Marketing API Key

Emma, the application that we integrated with Meevo to bring you Email Marketing, has an open API that allows developers to get other programs "talking" with your account. For example, you could use Emma's API to sync your audience or response data with an outside database.

To use Emma's APIs, you'll need an API Key. Emma API keys are unique per user, per sub-account, and act as a unique identifier for authentication. But before you obtain your key and begin using Emma's APIs, please be aware that Emma's APIs are considered "self-serve," meaning that MSI and Emma do not provide free support for their use.

If you do choose to use Emma's APIs, it is essential that you manage these APIs carefully by following the important guideline below:

Important: Do not use Emma's APIs to remove any custom Contact Fields or Segments, as this will be detrimental to your account data. Doing so may require professional service fees to get your account back up and running, or in the worst case, to provide you with an entirely new account.
