Member Benefit Templates are additional benefits offered to your membership clients, such as special service pricing or discounts.
What benefits can I define in a Member Benefit Template?
Membership benefits come in the form of discounts. You can configure overall or specific discounts for services, products, and packages.
How are Member Benefit Template discounts applied at the register?
Member Benefit Template discounts are automatically applied at the register and take precedence over any other automatic discount.
Note: If a client is visiting another location with a corresponding membership (a membership from Central Office that is available to both locations), then the client must use the visiting location's benefit template.
Do Online Booking clients see member pricing?
Yes, clients who book using Online Booking will see Yield Management and Member Benefit pricing throughout the client-facing OB site. The client must be logged in to see this dynamic pricing.
Does every membership require that I select a Member Benefit Template?
No, the Member Benefit Template is an optional setting in the Memberships maintenance form.
What happens if I edit a Member Benefit Template that is already associated with a membership?

How do Member Benefit Templates affect employee commission?
An employee can receive commission based on the post-discount price of the item. This adjustment automatically gives the employee a new starting commission price. It cannot be removed, which is why the "Full Commission" option is not available in the register if this is the only discount on the transaction. Note price adjustments from Member Benefit Templates are always honored in commission calculations, even if Full Commission is enabled.
