Managing POS Stations

To get to POS Hardware, type poshardware into the Convobar, or go to Meevo > Register > POS Hardware.

To create a POS Station

  1. On the POS Hardware screen, select the POS Stations tab and select Edit.
  2. Select Add Additional POS Station.
  3. Enter a unique Station Name, which is how you will identify the station in Meevo.
  4. Optionally, select a Credit Card Terminal and Receipt Printer to make those the defaults for the POS Station. Alternatively for the receipt printer, you can select Use Default Printer to use your computer's default printer (System Default Printer).

Note: Devices such as pole/price display or cash drawer that are connected to the receipt printer you select here will also be considered part of the POS Station, even though those devices do not appear in the POS Stations tab.

  1. When finished, select Save.

To activate a POS Station

Activate the POS Station from the computer or device that will become the workstation.

  1. On the POS Hardware screen, select the POS Stations tab.
  2. Select Activate this POS beside the station you wish to activate. A confirmation message appears in the station block.

Note: This step is browser-specific, so be sure to perform this step on each browser you wish to use on the workstation.

To edit a POS Station

  1. On the POS Hardware screen, select the POS Stations tab and select Edit.
  2. Make edits as needed and when finished, select Save.

To delete a POS Station

  1. On the POS Hardware screen, select the POS Stations tab and select Edit.
  2. Select delete in the row of the POS Station. Select Yes on the confirmation message.
  3. Select Save to save your changes, or select Cancel to undo your deletion.
