DC041: Client Spending Summary by Category
The DC041 report displays New and Repeat Client sales statistics for the selected Employee Categories during the date range.
Report definitions
Some general details about this report:
- The House employee does not belong to an Employee Category, so House data is not included in this report. Sales to "Anonymous" clients are not included in this report either.
- The first page of the report displays Totals for all selected Employee Categories, but this Totals page is not the sum of data from each individual category since employees will appear within each category they belong to. For example, if Dana is a Stylist and Wax Technician, her sale data appears on each category page, but only counts once on the Totals page.
Report column definitions:
- Repeat Clients: A repeat client is someone who had a visit (service or retail) during the date range and at least one service visit prior to the date range. This metric does not consider fees (Swap Upgrade, Cancellation, No-Show) as service visits.
- New Clients: A new client is someone new to the business who had a visit (service or retail) during the date range with no service visits prior to the date range. This metric does not consider fees (Swap Upgrade, Cancellation, No-Show) as service visits.
- Gender: Gender as defined in the client profile.
- # Clients: (Unique Clients Purchasing Services Only + Unique Clients Purchasing Retail Only + Unique Clients Purchasing Services and Retail)
- Percent: Percentage of the category that makes up the total, calculated as:
(# Clients / Total Number of Clients) x 100 - Service Total: Total service sales including Swap Upgrade Fees. Taxes are not included. Refunds are deducted from totals.
- Retail Total: Total revenue from retail sales. Taxes are not included. Refunds are deducted from totals.
- Total Spent: Service Total + Retail Total
- Avg Service Per Client: Average amount spent on services, calculated as:
Total Service / # Clients - Avg Retail Per Client: Average amount spent on retail, calculated as:
Total Retail / # Clients - Avg Spent Per Client: Average amount spent on service and retail, calculated as follows:
Total Spent / # Clients - Total line (last line in each table):
- # of Clients, Service Total, Retail Total, and Total Spent: These are the sum of values in their respective columns.
- Avg Service Per Client: (Total of Service Total / # Clients)
- Avg Retail Per Client: (Total of Retail Total / # Clients)
- Avg Spent Per Client: (Total of Total Spent / # Clients)
Setting up the DC041 report
- Type DC041 in the Convobar, or go to Meevo > Reports > Clients, and then select the DC041 report.
- Select a date or date range for running the report:
- To run a report for a specific date range, select Custom and specify the Start Date and End Date for the report.
- Otherwise, select a predefined date or range (Yesterday, This Week, Last Week, etc.). If you select a predefined range (a date other than Custom), you can still change the Start Date and End Date. Doing so automatically changes the date range to Custom.
- Display Clients By: Choose how you'll sort the report:
- Gender sorts clients into Repeat, New, and Total tables, with each row representing a gender selection on the client profile and each column displaying a metric.
- Age also sorts clients into Repeat, New, and Total tables, but clients are further sorted into age columns and metrics are displayed within the rows.
- All Employee Categories: Select this option to run the report for all categories. Otherwise, deselect the option and, in the drop-down list, select which categories you want to run.
Running the report
- When you are ready to generate the report, select a Report Format beside the Run Report button.
- Here is a rundown of each format type:
- PDF: Each time you select Run Report with PDF selected, Meevo opens a separate browser tab that displays the PDF'ed report. Meevo remains on the setup page, so you can quickly jump back over to Meevo to run more date ranges or other reports. Each PDF report you run will open its own browser tab, so you can easily review and compare reports by simply jumping between browser tabs.
- HTML: This is our original legacy format, which opens the report within Meevo. All of the functionality within that report is still there and available via the toolbar.
- XLSX: Each time you select Run Report, your browser auto-downloads the report in .xlsx format. Select the downloaded file in the browser footer to open the spreadsheet.
- Select Run Report to generate the report in your chosen format. Depending on the type of report and criteria you entered, this process may take a few minutes.
