Deleting or Undeleting a Merchant Account
Delete an item if it is no longer needed in any capacity, and you don't anticipate needing it in the future. Most deleted items can be undeleted, and the ones that can't display a warning before Meevo lets you fully delete.
When you delete a Merchant Account:
- All associated terminals are deleted from Meevo as well.
- It is no longer selectable from any Meevo forms or menus.
- It does not appear in Meevo search results unless Deleted is selected from the Advanced menu.
- It may still appear in Meevo reports depending on the report setup criteria.
- If you deleted the item in Central Office, the item becomes deleted in associated locations as well.
- Remember that only the owner (as determined by the Owned By field) of the item can delete or undelete it.
- If attempting to delete a Merchant Account and you have no other accounts with that provider, Meevo displays a prompt asking if you'd like to remove credit cards on file associated with the merchant. Selecting Yes immediately removes all cards associated with that provider.
- If attempting to delete a Merchant Account but you have at least one other account with that provider, you can choose to Delete the cards or Reassign them to another Merchant Account with the same processor. To reassign, you'll first need to work with your processor to move the cards to a different account on their end. Meevo provides messaging that explains this as well.
To delete a Merchant Account
Note: Deleting a Merchant Account for one location does not delete it at other locations.
- Locate the Merchant Account and select it.
- Select Delete. A confirmation message appears.
- Select Yes to delete the Merchant Account.
To undelete a Merchant Account
Note: Undeleting a Merchant Account restores the account details, but does not restore any devices that were associated with the account prior to deletion.
- Locate the Merchant Account and select it. Remember to select Deleted from the Advanced Search menu to search for deleted items.
- On the Merchant Account's maintenance form, select Undelete.
