What options are available when creating a service?
Aside from configuring the usual options like price levels, step timings, and booking options, you can also:
- Create a service as an add-on.
- Select and prioritize resources needed for the service.
- Create split rules to allow clients to split and merge package services.
- Create Swap Groups to allow clients to exchange or upgrade package services.
- Set up deductions and commission overrides for individual services.
- Create a service charge using the Service Charges feature.
- Set up Product Usage Tracking to automatically deduct products from inventory when a service is performed.
Does every service need to have a Service Category?
Yes, Service Category is a required field in the Services form.
Note: CO-owned Service Categories can only be assigned to CO-owned services of the same Business Type. Location-owned Service Categories can only be assigned to location-owned services.
When I update the service price in Central Office, the price isn't updated in locations. Why?
If this occurs, it may be because you've created a market through Market Pricing. Once you've created a market, prices are handled exclusively through Market Pricing.
