Recalling an Inventory Transfer

To recall an Inventory Transfer

A From location can recall inventory that was transferred out as long as the inventory hasn't been received at the To location. Recalling inventory returns the on-hand count that was deducted when the inventory was first transferred out.

  1. Find the Inventory Transfer in the Inventory Transfers search screen. To recall the transfer, the current location must be the From location (or Central Office on behalf of the location), and the Status of the transfer at the To location must be Not received.
  2. Select the transfer and select Recall at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Select Yes on the confirmation message to complete the recall. This step adds back the on-hand count that was deducted when the inventory was transferred out and changes the status of the transfer to Saved.

To return an Inventory Transfer

Returning inventory sends the inventory back to the originating location. A To location can return (reject) the inventory that was transferred to them as long as they haven't received the inventory yet. To update their on-hand count, the originating location must then receive the return.

  1. Locate the Inventory Transfer in the Inventory Transfers search screen. To return the transfer, the current location must be the To location, and the Status of the transfer at the To location must be Not received.
  2. Select the transfer and select Return at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Select Yes on the confirmation message to return the products back to the originating location.
  4. To complete the inventory return, the From location (or Central Office on behalf of the location) must receive the products. In the From location, these transfers will appear in search with red text and a status of Return not received.
