Swap, Split, and Merge Examples

These are examples of the various ways split, merge, and swap rules can be used. When services are added to the Smart Receipt, the system recognizes if any of the contents of a pre-paid package can be split, merged, or swapped (or any combination of these three), and offers one-click redemption.

Data Setup

Here is the example data we put in place prior to executing redemptions at the register.

Split/merge rules

  • A 60 Minute Massage can be split into two 30 Minute Massages, OR two 30 Minute Massages can be merged into one 60 Minute Massage.

  • A 90 Minute Massage can be split into a 60 Minute Massage and a 30 Minute Massage, OR the two shorter massages can be merged into a 90 Minute Massage.

A direct swap means that the client owns at least one service in the Swap Group, and the service being rung up is part of the Swap Group as well. For example, Service X is redeemed for Service Y.
