Splitting, Merging, or Swapping Services
To split, swap, or merge at the register, select the green package in the Smart Receipt.
The action taken by Meevo is always automatic and based on the rules you set up. You can review the changes before applying them. Note packages with unlimited services cannot be split, swapped, or merged.
In each case below, the package must be set up to allow split/merge/swap:
- To split a service, the client must own (through a package) the service being split. Split rules must also be set up.
- To merge services, the client must own, through a package, the services being merged. Split rules must also be set up.
- To swap a service, the client must own, through a package, at least one service in the Package Swap Group.
- To upgrade to a service, the client must own, through a package, at least one service in the Package Swap Group.
How does Meevo handle package history after a split or merge?
When you modify a package with a split or merge, Meevo creates a new package containing the remaining services, which can be viewed in the Clients > Packages screen. Packages created as a result of a split are prefixed with PKSPL, while packages created as a result of a merge are prefixed with PKMRG.
How does Meevo handle package history after a swap?
When you swap a service in Meevo, the package history considers the original service (the service that is part of the package) as redeemed. The service that was "swapped in" appears in the Transaction History.
To swap or upgrade a service
Add the desired service (the one the client wants to swap or upgrade to). The green package appears below the line item. If upgrading, the upgrade fee appears in the Smart Receipt. After selecting the green package, details of the actions appear in the right pane. Select Apply to complete redemption.
To split a service
Add the service that will be part of the split to the Smart Receipt. For example, if splitting a 60 Min Massage into two 30 Min Massages, you'd add one 30 Min Massage to the Smart Receipt. The green package appears below the line item. Select it to split the service according to the Swap Group.
To merge services
Add the service that will be the result after the merge. The green package appears below the line item. The client must own the services being merged, but you should not add them to the Smart Receipt. Selecting the green package will automatically merge the services according to the Swap Group.
