Recovering a Credit Card Transaction

Client credit cards are charged when they are added to the Smart Receipt, not when the transaction is finalized. Should a transaction in Meevo get interrupted (for example, due to losing an internet connection, the browser closing unexpectedly, or Meevo timing out), the transaction will not appear in Transaction Editor or reports even though a card was successfully charged...so you have a completed credit card charge, but no associated transaction in Meevo.

Meevo accounts for this possibility by placing "interrupted" transactions in the "On Hold" list in the register. To resolve this situation, you can finalize the interrupted, on-hold transaction to create the transaction in Meevo. This resolves the issue of having an "orphan transaction." Note: The transaction will be tagged with the date and time the transaction was finalized, not the date and time that the card was charged. This ensures accurate reporting throughout all of Meevo.
