Marking a Client as a No-Show

If a client does not show up for their appointment, change the status of the appointment to No-Show. This allows you to track the instances when the client failed to show up for an appointment and provides your business with the opportunity to book a new appointment in place of the no-show.

Only on the day of the appointment can you mark a client as a no-show.

Note: Enable the Automatically mark appointments as no-show option in Business Preferences to have Meevo handle no-shows automatically. You can always manually change the status should the client arrive late.

Can I mark a future appointment as a no-show?

No, only on the day of the appointment can it be marked as a no-show.

Can I change the status of a past no-show appointment?

Yes, you can un-no-show an appointment from any time in the past, as long as the appointment has not been checked out. Once a no-show appointment is checked out, the no-show cannot be undone.

Can I hide no-show appointments from the Appointment Book?

Yes! To hide no-show appointments from the Appointment Book, select Filters and deselect Display No Shows.

Can I book a new appointment in place of the no-show appointment?

Yes!  Some notes on booking over a no-show appointment:

  1. Booking a new appointment in the No Show appointment time does not trigger a double-book warning.
  2. The Scan for Opening feature treats the No Show appointment time as bookable.

Do employees receive commission on no-show fees?

For the purpose of employee commissions, the no-show fee essentially becomes the service price, and commission is calculated based on that fee and the employee's regular service commission rate.
