What are Notification Types?

Notification Types refer to the events that can trigger a notification. These are the Notification Types for clients and employees.

Note: If an appointment is in an Awaiting Response state (for example, if a confirmation text or email was already sent), the client can send a confirmation reply to any Reminder SMS, and the appointment status will be updated. In addition, Confirmation and Request to Reschedule links can be added to any notification email in Notification Templates.

  1. All text message notifications should include: Reply STOP to end as a reminder to clients that they can end text message notifications at any time.
  2. When creating a template that requires a client response, such as a Confirmation, be sure to include information that conveys to the client the following acceptable responses: Yes=confirm, No=Reschedule, or reply Stop to end.
  3. Text notifications do not support third-party shortened links; messages that contain those links will be filtered out by Twilio, our carrier.

Suggestions on how to use Due In For Service Reminders

The Due In For Service Reminder keep your business engaged with the client and reduces the chances of them drifting to a competitor. These regular reminders aim to improve frequency of visit and client retention, as well as increase revenue. The customizable notifications provide an opportunity to cross sell services, recommend products, and communicate seasonal offers, ultimately driving additional sales opportunities with minimal effort!

  • Choose which individual services to remind clients about, and even customize a reminder for each service. This way, your business can send more thoughtful reminders that encourage clients to return regularly, personalizing the connection and driving repeat visits.
  • To encourage clients to book a service appointment, use the tag in the Generic section, Online Booking URL. This is a shortened version of the link that clients can select from within the notification to jump to your Online Booking site.
  • If you create customized notifications for each service, you can use that opportunity to include service-specific Online Booking links, providing a way for the client receiving the notification to easily book their appointment.
  • You can also use these notification templates to cross-sell complementary products or encourage add-ons!
