Wisely® by ADP Frequently Asked Questions
Wisely enables you to pay tips virtually and instantly on the Wisely paycard, helping reduce the amount of cash you need on-hand to pay employee tips. Meevo's integration with Wisely gives your service providers instant access to all tips that are entered into Meevo. The benefits of using Wisely for tip disbursements include:
- Reduce hours and effort associated with paying tips to employees
- Securely pay tips to employees that reduce the need for cash on hand
- Improved productivity by allowing managers to fund employees within seconds at the end of shift or a frequency they choose
- Provide employees quick & convenient access to their funds for purchases using their Wisely card

How does the Wisely integration work?
- Meevo sends Wisely the current day's tips every hour, starting at 11 AM and ending at 11 PM local time. Tips that are earned between 11 PM and 10:59 AM will be sent in the next 11 AM sync.
- Tips include Employee Tip Service Charges and pre-paid package tips.
- The Wisely integration does not impact your payroll or pay out tips from Meevo drawers.
- This integration comes with the WISE01 report, which lists tips earned by employees and their send status in Wisely. It also displays any tip adjustments you may need to make in Wisely.
- Multi-locations using the Wisely integration have the ability to connect multiple Meevo locations to Wisely. In Wisely, locations have the flexibility to choose between one funding account for all locations or a funding account for each location. Note however that if Multi-Location Payroll is being used, no tips are sent to Wisely from non-Home Locations.
What is the Meevo Connector?
The Meevo Connector quietly bridges communication between Meevo and Wisely. The Connector is not a separate application that you need to worry about; it is a component that runs "under the hood" of Meevo.
You can view your Meevo Connector details and subscription status in the ADP Settings screen in Meevo, and you can perform actions related to your subscription from the My Apps section of the ADP Marketplace.
How do I add and configure the Wisely integration?
After enabling the integration, someone from our Meevo Business Support team will be reaching out to assist you with setup. The overall steps are outlined below.
- On the Meevo side of things, the Wisely integration can be added to Meevo for free by going to the MeevoXchange and selecting the appropriate tile under Integrations.
- The Meevo Connector for Wisely by ADP must be purchased from the ADP Marketplace.
- Connect Meevo to Wisely.
- Employee data is then pulled from Wisely into Meevo, so you can map your employees between the platforms.
- Finally, enable the integration to begin sending tip data to Wisely. Note once you've enabled the integration, disabling it will immediately remove all employee mappings.
What happens if there is an change to a completed transaction, like an edit, refund, or void?
- If an edit, refund, or void is made to a transaction in Meevo before that transaction is synced to Wisely, the edit or void will be picked up in the next sync without issue. You can check to see if a transaction has been synced to Wisely from the Wisely Log tab or the WISE01 (tips that weren't sent will not have a Wisely Tip RefId).
- However, if an edit, void, or refund is made to a transaction after it's already synced to Wisely, the transaction will not re-sync and update automatically in Wisely. Instead, you'll need to go into Wisely and manually make the change; in the case of refunds, you'll need to reverse the batch/transaction funds back to the account. Note in Wisely there is a limit on how far into the past you can edit transactions, so we recommend reconciling any discrepancies between Meevo and Wisely at the end of each day.
- Transactions inserted into the past will be included in the next scheduled sync within the same day only. If the inserted transaction was not synced by the end of the day, it will not sync during the first scheduled sync tomorrow. You need to log into Wisely and manually award those tips.
