About Smart Centers and Smart Center Designer
What is a Smart Center?
Meevo's Smart Center is a completely customizable dashboard hub within the software. Design your space to fit your creative style and keep up with real-time data that's specific to each role at your business. Use Smart Centers to visualize everything important to your salon or spa business in one place.
Note: Partner Smart Centers do not appear in Smart Center Designer.
What is Smart Center Designer?
The Smart Center Designer is how you create and customize Meevo Smart Centers.
Are there any options associated with Smart Centers?
Yes! Under Business Preferences, the System section lets you choose whether or not to load each users' Smart Center upon login.
How do I create and assign a Smart Center?
- Create the Smart Center using Smart Center Designer.
- Assign the Smart Center to employees via the Security tab of your employees' profiles or via the definition of a Security Role.
How does Smart Center Designer work with Central Office?
- Central Office can create Smart Centers and make those Smart Centers available to locations.
- Central Office cannot edit or take ownership of a location-owned Smart Center.
- Locations cannot edit Central Office-owned Smart Centers.
I don't want to look at my Smart Center. Can I close it? If so, how do I open it again?
A user can easily close the Smart Center with a simply click or touch. See Opening and Closing Smart Centers for more information.
Is there a way to bulk distribute new Smart Centers to employees?
As a best practice, we recommend first setting up your Smart Centers and assigning those Smart Centers in Employee Templates, and then applying those Employee Templates to the relevant employee profiles. If employee profiles and data are already established, you must individually add new Smart Centers to each employee profile.
What are the available tiles in Smart Center Designer?
Tiles can be grouped into three categories:
- Real-time: Tiles that refresh each time a user accesses the Smart Center desktop.
- Cached: A tile that updates every 15 minutes.
- Snapshot: The tile displays data for a moment in time and is updated daily. For example, a tile that looks at data within a historical date range is a snapshot tile.
See Understanding Smart Center Tiles for details on each tile in Smart Center Designer.
Is Smart Center Designer available on mobile devices?
The Smart Center Designer is available on all devices except mobile phones.
