Changing a Drawer's Receipt Printer or Credit Card Terminal
How does Meevo determine which receipt printer I'm using?
A network receipt printer can be:
- Assigned to a POS Station. In this case, each time a user logs into that workstation, the POS Station's assigned receipt printer is the default printer.
- Assigned to a register drawer. During a login session, opening the register or changing a register drawer will make the drawer's assigned printer the default receipt printer. However, if the drawer was assigned a POS Station, then the drawer will use that POS Station's default devices.
- Selected manually from the username drop-down menu. The selection will remain the default printer unless one of the actions above is performed.
To change a receipt printer or credit card device in Drawer Manager
- Open Drawer Manager:
- Go to Meevo > Register > Register, or type register into the Convobar. At the top of the Smart Receipt, select Edit beside the drawer name to open Drawer Manager on the right panel.
- Navigate to Meevo > Register > Drawer Manager, or type drawermanager into the Convobar to open the Drawer Manager.
- Select a new device in Receipt Printer or Credit Card Terminal. The selected device becomes the default for that drawer for this session only. Upon logout, the drawer's receipt printer changes back to the default printer defined in the drawer's maintenance form.
