Adding or Editing an Employee Promotion

When you save an employee promotion, you can view the scheduled promotion details via the employee's profile.

To add an employee promotion

  1. Open the Employee Promotions search screen:
  • Type promo into the Convobar, or go to Meevo > Data > Employee Promotions. From the Employee Promotions search form, select Add New, and select the employee who will receive the promotion.
  • From the Main tab of an Employee's profile, select Schedule a Promotion.
  1. Set Active On: The promotion becomes active at midnight on the date selected here.

Note: The Process Now option activates the Employee Promotion immediately after you select Save. Once you select Process Now and save, the promotion is no longer editable. So, before selecting this option, be sure to configure all desired tabs in the promotion screen, and then go back to the 1 Main tab to select Process Now and save.

  1. Use an Employee Template to quickly apply a common set of options to a new or existing employee profile. See Tips on Setting Up Employee Profiles for details on applying Employee Templates.
  2. Appointment Book Style: Determines the background color and text color of the Employee's column header in the Appointment Book.
  3. Select an Employee Category to add it to the list. You can repeat this step to add several categories.
  4. Configure the Options:
  • Price level: Select the default price level clients will be charged for a service that this employee is not configured to perform. If a service the employee does not perform is pulled into the register, Meevo will match up this setting with the price level configured in the service definition to determine the price. However, if you change this setting, Meevo will prompt you asking if this Price Level should apply to all of this employee's services (Can Perform and otherwise).
  • Display prompt when double booking this employee: A conflict message appears if any user attempts to double-book this employee in the Appointment Book.
  • Allow sales: Employee's tile is a selectable option in register to receive credit for sales. Note that employees who are booked to perform a service appear in the Smart Receipt on checkout regardless of the status of this option.
  • Allow tips: Employee can receive tips from clients at the register.
  • Include in Overall Productivity Calculations: Includes the employee's productive time in your business' overall productivity reports such as the MA060 and Smart Tiles. If this option is not selected, this employee's time will be excluded from all productivity calculations, regardless of whether or not the Work Activity is configured as "productive."
  • Show on schedule: Allows you to manage the employee's schedule in  Schedule Manager. Deselect this option if you do not need to schedule this employee, or if you are managing employee schedules outside of Meevo.
  • Bookable Online: Enables the employee to be booked through Online Booking.
  • Enable Intelli-Booking: Makes this employee eligible for Intelli-Booking timings. See Using Intelli-Booking for more details on this feature.
  1. Select Save.
  2. Select the 2 Security tab and select Edit.
  3. Location Security Role: Determines the security role for this location. Select a role to add it to the list. You may add as many roles as needed.
  4. Location Smart Center: Determines the Smart Centers that this employee will have access to when logged into Meevo at this location. Select a Smart Center to add it to the list. You may add as many Smart Centers as desired.
  5. Select Save.
  6. Select the 3 Services tab and select Edit. See this topic for guidance on these settings.
  7. Select Save.
