Editing an Existing QuickBooks Online Connection

You can edit the settings for an existing connection at any time. However, be aware that account mapping changes are not applied retroactively, meaning any data that existed in a given account in QuickBooks Online prior to your edits will stay in that account unless manually moved.

Your options are to move the old data into the new account manually in QuickBooks Online, or leave the data in the current account. How you proceed is up to you.

1. To edit, select Edit an Existing Connection.
2. Follow the instructions in Creating a New Connection to QuickBooks Online, Setting Up QuickBooks Accounts and Payment Types, and Syncing to QuickBooks Online to complete editing the existing connection.
