Step 3: Complete Local SEO Profile Settings
After completing Step 1 and Step 2 of setup, we recommend that next you go into Local SEO Settings to enter the business information that does not come over as part of the sync.

What do I need to know about secondary categories?
Secondary (or "additional") categories can supplement your Primary Category by broadening the search criteria used to capture and list your business. Here are a few tips on selecting secondary categories:
- Any category you select should complete the statement "This business IS ___" rather than "This business offers ___."
- You can add up to 10 categories, but we recommend selecting no more than 5 total categories, since search engines don't prioritize results for businesses with many categories. The sweet spot for most businesses will be 3 or 4 total categories (1 Primary Category and 2 or 3 secondary categories).
- We also highly recommend reading Google's policy on category selection, which you can find in their local business guidelines.
How soon after I make a change in Local SEO Profile Settings will that information appear in publisher sites?
Your changes should appear on most sites right away! Most publishers with a Live status in Online Presence Management will automatically consume your Local SEO Profile Settings updates immediately after you make any changes.
I am a mobile business; can I hide my address from listings?
Yes! Mobile businesses can go to the Address section and select Hide address in listing to prevent your address from appearing in online listings, and/or select We deliver or provide service at customer locations to communicate that you will travel to locations for service.
Complete the following Local SEO Profile Settings fields
The fields we list below are suggestions, but we consider them to be core information that should be available online for most businesses. Depending on your goals, you may decide to fill in more or fewer fields than recommended.

- Go to Marketing > Local SEO Profile Settings or type localseosettings into the Convobar.
- You can scroll down the page and fill in the information listed below, or use the Content menu on the left to jump right to a specific section.
Note: Fields that appear in gray, such as Name, Address, and Social Media, can only be changed by making updates in Meevo Business Information, and then re-syncing. These fields cannot be edited from within Local SEO Profile Settings.
- Core Information
- Categories: We recommend adding 2 or 3 secondary categories. Make sure you follow the guidelines in the "secondary categories" FAQ above.
- Featured Message: The Featured Message is a 50-character freeform field you can use to advertise special opportunities for your business, making searchers aware of important information and driving traffic to your business. This is a great place to display on going promotions, deals, and relevant coupons. Click here to review Yext's article on the advantages of using the Featured Message.
- Not all publishers support this field. Google, for example, does not consume Featured Message. See Yext's article on Publisher Functionality Details to learn more.
- Facebook supports Featured Message, but only through Social Posting; you can map your Featured Message to the Facebook Call to Action button (as shown below).
- Business Details
- Description: Add some text that describes your business.
- Holiday Hours, Hours (Temporarily Closed), Additional Hours Text: Enter any holiday hours or special hours that you may currently be running.
- Payment Options: Enter the forms of payment your business accepts.
- Price Range: This field is generally used by businesses in the food industry. Unless you are in the food industry, we recommend leaving this blank or selecting Unspecified. There isn't a standard to the price ranges, but the following is the general accepted pricing range system:
$ = Inexpensive, usually $10 and under
$$ = Moderately expensive, usually between $10-$25
$$$ = Expensive, usually between $25-$45
$$$$ = Very expensive, usually $50 and up
- Impressum: An Impressum is a "statement of the ownership and authorship of a document." Individuals or organizations based in many German-speaking countries are required by law to include an Impressum in published media. Online Presence Management will sync this field to publishers who support an Impressum field (for example, Facebook). See this LinkedIn article for tips and examples of an Impressum.
- Pickup and Delivery Services: It's important to make this information available online, as most businesses today are specifying whether or not they provide Curbside Pickup and non-contact delivery services.
- Neighborhood: This offers additional detail beyond the formal address; it can indicate local neighborhood locations in the Knowledge Graph. For example, if your business was in NYC, you could enter Upper East Side.
- Contact, Website, and Apps: Fill in all fields that are applicable to your business.
- Media: Upload your Business Logo, any photos of your business or services you want to showcase, as well as any promotional videos. Publishers who accept videos and images will consume this information.
Most publishers that support Listings Sync (that is, publishers whose Status can be Live) also support the Photo Gallery. See below for a list of publishers who support Listing Sync but do not support Photo Gallery:
