Email Marketing Overview

Email Marketing (powered by Emma) is a robust marketing tool that allows you to create and send beautiful and meaningful emails to a targeted group / segment of clients. Email Marketing makes it easy to target information about your clients such as their first visit date, last visit date, birthdays, and much more.

How Meevo and Email Marketing work together

1. When the integration is turned on, Meevo will automatically sync your Meevo contacts to Email Marketing every morning at 6 am. Those syncs not only keep your Email Marketing contact list up-to-date, but they also send over key client data that can be used to segment and target a particular group of clients.
2. You'll create and manage contacts, segments, automated campaigns, signup forms, and more through your Email Marketing Account site, which you log into using an existing or newly created Emma account.

How Email Marketing works with Central Office and multiple locations

In a multi-location business model, only Central Office can turn the daily sync on and off, as locations do not have access to the sync switch. However, locations are able to send Client Selection Exports to Email Marketing.

Steps to set up your account and send your first mailing

1. Turn the integration on to begin syncing contacts. All contacts who sync over to Email Marketing are known as your audience. 
2. If it makes sense for your business, you can also build or segment your audience by:
   • Sending a Meevo Client Selection Export to Email Marketing. 
   • Manually importing a list of contacts into Email Marketing.
   • Creating a signup form to get new email subscribers.
   • Creating an appointment request/signup form to get new email subscribers as well as their preferred appointment times.
3. Organize your audience into Segments, which are targeted groups of clients that share one or more common data points. For example, you may create a segment for clients who haven't been in for a service for 90 days.
4. Prepare your sending domain to make sure your emails adhere to carrier requirements. 
5. Create and customize an email campaign, which is a one-time mailing to a segment. You can create the email from scratch or select from any of the Email Marketing Campaign Template Options.
6. Create an automation to so that your campaigns are sent out automatically. 
7. Track and review responses to your campaigns!
